These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FoodIdentifier website at foodidentifier.com and all associated services (collectively, the "Service") operated by FoodIdentifier ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using FoodIdentifier, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

FoodIdentifier provides AI-powered food identification and nutrition analysis tools including photo-based food scanning, barcode scanning, diet compatibility checkers, an AI nutrition coach, and health calculators. All core features are provided free of charge with no account creation required. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use FoodIdentifier only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service in bulk without permission
• Use automated bots or scripts to spam or overload the Service
• Upload harmful, malicious, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure

4. User Content

When you upload food photos or other content to FoodIdentifier for analysis, you retain ownership of that content. By uploading, you grant FoodIdentifier a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, analyze, and use that content for the sole purpose of providing the requested nutrition analysis service. You represent that you have the right to upload any content you submit and that it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

5. Medical and Nutritional Disclaimer

FoodIdentifier provides nutritional information for general informational and educational purposes only. This information does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Nutrition values generated by AI are estimates and may not be 100% accurate. Always consult a registered dietitian, nutritionist, or qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, food allergy, or are pregnant. Do not rely solely on FoodIdentifier results for medical decision-making.

6. Intellectual Property

The FoodIdentifier service, including its design, code, AI models, branding, logos, and written content, is owned by FoodIdentifier and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without express written permission from FoodIdentifier. The FoodIdentifier name and logo are trademarks of FoodIdentifier.

FOODIDENTIFIER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FoodIdentifier and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
